Seattle Seahawks kicker Sebastian Janikowski might have had the worst tackle attempt in NFL history Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
49ers return man Richie James took it to the house in the San Francisco win over Seattle, and the legendary kicker’s effort to bring him down is straight up laughable.
In fact, I think it’d be fair to say he went out of his way to avoid actually getting hit. Take a look in the video below. It’s laugh-out-loud funny. (RELATED: Here Are The Best Moments Of Week 14 Of The NFL Season)

That’s a tough look for Janikowski. There’s no other way around it. He not only didn’t bring down James, but he clearly just kind of quit on the play.
Look, I’m not blaming him. I wouldn’t want to get trucked if I was a kicker either, but you at least have to sell the effort a little better.
I don’t think anybody is convinced Janikowski gave it his all. You can also guarantee they’re going to show this play at least a dozen times when they break down film. The Seahawks are going to have its fill of laughs over his failed tackle effort.
Oh well, at least he didn’t get obliterated. That’s all you can ask for.
