Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady made an interesting comment after beating the Patriots.

Brady and the Bucs marched into Gillette Stadium and earned a gritty 19-17 win Sunday night in the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s return home. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Following the win, Brady seemed to indicate that he could eventually return to the Pats.

Brady said the following after the beating the Patriots, according to the Boston Herald:

I don’t know what the future holds. Obviously could be an opportunity to come back here. We’ll see. I feel like I’ll always be a part of this community. I’ll be up here quite a bit when it’s all said and done. When I retire I’m sure there will be a lot of time for – you know, I have a lot of friends up here and it’s a great place. My kids were born on Beacon Street in the city. It’s been an amazing place for me, it still is.

It’s hard to know for sure what Brady is talking about here, but I’m guessing he’s talking about signing a contract to retire as a member of the Pats.

Given the fact that he’s 44-years-old, it’s hard to see him playing multiple more seasons with the Bucs and then playing again for the Patriots.

Plus, the Patriots are all in on Mac Jones and the Alabama product looks like he has all the tools necessary to be a star.

So, that really only leaves us guessing that Brady was talking about signing a one-day deal with the franchise in order to retire as a member of the Pats.

Seeing as how he won six Super Bowls while with New England, it’s a very understandable move and I’d be surprised if it didn’t happen.

However, Brady left just enough to be interpreted that people will now debate whether or not he’ll play against for the Pats, and I’m sure that’s 100% what he wanted.
